The National Gallery

Last night I ended up staying in with my roomate Amy and watching Black Swan instead of going to the Sports Cafe...just wasn't in the clubbing mood. But Black Swan was the most messed up movie I have ever seen! I am still super confused by it!! It was creepy as well...

So this morning I again awoke to SUNSHINE!!! I've been in a mood for pancakes so I cracked open the pancakes I bought from Sainsbury and heated them in the microwave. They were frozen so they turned out kind of soggy but they were still pretty good! As you can see from the picture below, Londoner's call pancakes what we American's call crepes...so they were super thin. After breakfast, I headed out to find Whole Foods again and actually go inside this time. I bought some new tea and some environmental friendly cleaning supplies so I can clean up my room a little.

Then it was time to head to the National Gallery for Museum class. This has been my favorite museum so far. It was all paintings and I could actually relate to the artists who had work here. We got to see Van Gogh's "sunflower", some Michelangelo and Divinci works, and a few more. Then after class was done, I went on a search to find my favorite painter, Monet. I just love how when you are close up to a Monet, it looks blurry and you can't really decipher what the heck it's supposed to be...take a step back and it comes into focus. It is so mind boggling as to how someone can do that with a simple paintbrush.

Overall it's been a pretty relaxed day so not too much else to report. I am hoping to go to bed extra early today because I am feeling  a little extra tired from all the walking around. Hopefully tomorrow brings more exciting things for me to report to you all :)

Goodnight!
