Yesterday I finally got to do some shopping! I may have purchased a few things for myself...a dress, some new shoes, and a purse...essentials for a girl in London.
So today I decided to test my new purchases out. Wearing my dress and new purse, I set out to find a men's H&M so I could try to find a sweater my brother requested. When I got to the store, I found a cardigan that I thought was the correct one...when I got home to compare the image he sent me to the one I bought, I found out I had bought the wrong sweater! Gosh I have bad luck! Good thing my brother still liked the sweater and said I could keep it :)
Today was a pretty tiring day for me because I walked around London from 10am to 4pm. I just took the tube to a stop that sounded interesting, got off and walked around. Then when I got bored of that area, I'd get back on the tube and take it to a different stop. I found some fricken sweet stores this way...one in particular called uniqlo. I also meandered down this street called Old Bond Street...let me tell you this is not a street for Little Haley. The first 3 stores I passed were DeBeers, Dolce and Gabana, and Gucci. I was in my cheap red puff jacket and walking boots...you should have seen the looks I got from people. However, I just pretended I was some high class executive and strutted my way down the street anyway...I could care less what those stuffy people think of me anyway :)
I also tried my first frozen yoghurt (this is how they spell it here) in London. It was from a place called SNOG. The lady at the counter gave me a little sample and it was pretty good...but it tasted much different from the stuff in the states. She told me it has no fat and almost no sugar so it was not nearly as sweet as what I'm used to but it was still good! I mixed in mango and blackberries to liven it up a bit.
That's the thing I am noticing about food in London...everything is fresh and "real" food...non of this preservative crap we eat in the states. It is so lovely and I am enjoying every bite I eat here. Especially the lunch I consumed today! After shopping around all morning, I met two of my flatmates (AshleyMorgan and Amy) at this place called Apostrophe. I had read about it online and it said it has one of the best cups of coffee in London. They weren't lyin! This place had by far the best coffee yet!! (See above pictures). The food was delicious as well. I had a prosciutto, sun-dried tomato, bell pepper sandwich and a latte macchioto. I most definitly will be going back to this place in the future (near future)!!
I then headed back to the flat, worked on some homework and hung out for a while. My roomie AshleyMorgan and I also decided we are going to try to book tickets to see Usher!!! I will probably pass out if this really happens because Usher is one of my faves and he's got a smoking hot bod :)
Tonight has been pretty chill because I am exhausted from my day of walking. It is also raining here so that makes me extra sleepy. I think I'm going to catch up on my fashion and beauty by curling up in bed with Glamor magazine and a nice cup of tea :)
Cheers!
