Ready for the SportsCafe!
I took the tube to the Waterloo station and when I exited I was looking up at the London Eye. This is the big ferris wheel that overlooks the whole city. I was expecting it to be big but when you see it in person it is even bigger. It made me sick to think of going up in it though because I am a little afraid of heights...but luckily that wasn't an option because it was closed for it's annual maintenance.

Artistic view of the Eye
I walked past the Eye, past the London Museum of Film, the London Acquarium, and the County Hall. It was really fun to take my time this morning and really take in all these beautiful buildings. It really is unlike anything I have ever seen before and I feel like my pictures do not do this city justice!
Aquarium and City Hall
After oogling the buildings, I crossed the Westminster bridge and came upon the most beautiful buildings I have ever seen. I was staring at the London Houses of Parliment. From the bridge I had an amazing building of everything and these Houses probably took up a few blocks. I also found Big Ben!!! He stands to the right of the Houses of Parliment and is even bigger when you are up close. I had to put my camera by my feet and point it to the sky in order to fit all of Ben into my picture!

When walking past the Houses of Parliment I noticed all the security surrounding the buildings. It was kind of scary becasue every guard had a huge machine gun! Yikes, wouldn't want to piss off those guys :)
Notice in the lower left corner...check out his gun!
Beautiful!
After the Houses of Parliment I crossed the street and walked right up to Westminster Abbey. It was gorgeous. I could not stop taking pictures! What was even more amazing to me was that all these huge, beautiful structures were right next to each other...I could not stop staring and thinking to myself "wow am I lucky to be here."
St. Margaret's Church
Westminster Abbey
I continued walking around for a while and then found myself at St. James Park. I saw some ducks, geese, swans, and other animals. There were a lot of Chinese people walking around this park and it was really funny because they were so intrigued by squirrels! I guess they must not have many squirrels in China? I found a cute little bridge to cross and got a beautiful view of Buckingham Palace. When I got to Buckingham Palace, I caught the tail end of the Changing of the Guards which was pretty awesome.

Green Parkski
I had to go to the bathroom really bad so at this point I walked through Green Park to the Green Park tube station to find the "toilets" as they call them here. I then took the tube to Leicester Square to try to find a cafe called the Milk Bar which supposedly has the best cup of coffee in London. Of course, I forgot my directions and ended up walking around in circles for a few hours trying to find the place. Finally feeling defeated I hopped back on the tube (I found I had walked all the way back to the Green Park tube station!) and headed for home. Now I have until 7PM (my class got switched from 2PM to 7PM) to just hang out, maybe take a nap, and go to the gym and class.
Tomorrow I don't have class again so maybe I will venture off to a museum or find some cool shops to go to...maybe I will even find the Milk Bar :)
Hope everyone is enjoying my adventures!!!
Cheers,
Little London Lady :)
