Oh Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun!

Today was all around a great day. For some reason I feel so happy and energized and just can't stop smiling! I have Mr. Sun to thank for my mood :) He finally came out today and warmed up this place! It was 55 degrees and sunny all day. Best weather day by far!

My day started off with a lovely run through Camden, past/through the London Zoo, up Primrose Hill where I got to see a clear view of the entire city of London, and then along this little canal under bridges and back to Woodland Court. I did purchase some new Nikes yesterday but didn't want to break them out yet because it was really muddy and I don't want to get them dirty just yet...but the run was great and put me in a  good mood off the bat.

Then it was time to head to Picadilly Circus to find Flat White. It took me a little while to find the place because it was kind of hidden away on a random street in Soho. To get there I had to walk through all these tiny alleys that brought me past tons of adult sex shops and strip clubs...I had no idea I was walking past these places until I looked in the window and saw the words plastered across the front of the building...oops! Anyway, I finally came upon Flat White and forgot all about my adventerous route to get there.
SO good.

I ordered a flat white and banana toffee muffin for take-away and waited patiently for my beverage. When I tasted it, I almost melted. It was that good. Best flat white I have experienced thus far. I wish I could explain to you how good it was but I don't think that's possible. Maybe some day you will have the chance to experience it for yourself :)

With my coffee in hand and muffin stowed inside my bag, I headed for Green Park. I found a bench right in the sun and settled in for a lovely afternoon in the park. I read my book (almost done!), sipped on my delectable coffee, and chowed down my muffin (which by the way was amazing). It was so relaxing sitting here being surrounded by Buckingham Palace and numerous people doing the same thing as I was. These are the days I live for! I may have even gotten a little tan...rightttt.

Green Park-ate lunch from this spot today

Does it get much better than this?

After I got to a good stopping point in my book, I figured I should probably get a move on and headed back to Picadilly Circus to do a little shopping...funny how easy it is to spend money in London. I headed up Regent's Street to find United Colors of Benetton and take a browse at the new spring collection. I should have left my credit card in the flat because I honestly liked every single item I tried on...but I fugured if the stuff fit, I might as well get it right? So I settled on 2 pairs of shorts, a pair of capris, a pair of jeans, and 2 dressy tops. It was so exhilerating leaving the store with my new purchases, but about 2 blocks later buyers remorse kicked in. I felt a little guilty but decided since I only have 2 weeks left, it was okay to splurge a little bit :)

I continued my journey down to Traflagar Square and onto this neat bridge that crossed the Thames River. I was in awe at the London Eye and Big Ben once again. No matter how many times I see these structures, they always take my breath away. This time I got a totally different angle of them and decided to take some more picture. The sun was shining on the buildings and people were everywhere enjoying the beautiful day. Everyone just seemed so happy and friendly today (a rare sight in London). I took about 50 pictures and decided I should probably head home as I had been out all day. Here are some of my faves from the photo shoot!

Big Ben's always watching out for me :)

London's Skatepark

It's funny how much sunshine and warmth can change people's moods...hopefully this trend continues :) Today was a fantastic day and as my time here comes to a close I hope to take advantage of each and every remaining day!! I cannot wait to see everyone back home, but I am going to miss days like this here in London.

That's all for now!

Hope the sun is warming you all up as well :)
