Losing my Fish-n-Chips virginity

Tonight was another night for the Pub. After a busy day of doing homework and maybe a little shopping, 2 of my roomates (Amy and Monica) got ready to hit up another Pub. I have decided I quite like the Pub scene...it is more relaxed than the club and I really enjoy sitting down with my pint of cider black and just hanging out.

This time, we went to a Pub over by the London Bridge called the Anchor Pub. We had passed it on our first scenic walking tour about a month ago (can't believe it's already been a month!) and it looked like a super fun atmosphere! So we took the tube to the London Bridge and walked through some sweet cobblestone streets to reach our destination.

Once inside, we found a nice table in the corner next to a TV...this was strange becasue I really haven't watched/seen TV since arriving in London...anywho, we scoped out the bar and checked over the menu and decided to order. Being extremely hungry, I decided tonight I would lose my fish-n-chips virginity. I went to the bar and ordered the fish and chips, a cider black (duh!) and a nice glass of tap water...the funny thing is that when you order fish-n-chips, they ask you if you want mushy peas, or garden peas! How odd; I ordered the garden peas because everyone says the mushy peas aren't the best tasting things ever. After ordering, I went back to the table to check out the man candy in the pub...mmm probably the best I've seen thus far :)
After about 15 minutes, the food arrived...take a look!

So excited to eat!

YUM! Did I finsih it all??

Mon Mon and her Lamb pie :) baaaaa

You bet I did...my appetite sure has grown since arriving here

At around 10PM we decided to head back home since we have mid-terms today...I cannot believe we have already reached the halfway point of this trip! That is too crazy. Oh and I also found out the best news ever yesterday...my mum and dad are going to visit!!! I was sooo excited!

Now this morning I also have some pretty exciting news...I have registered for the TC Marathon (yes, I never thought I would attempt to run 26.2 miles either...). I am incredibly excited though and can't wait to start training when I return home. That means I am going to take a little break from running for the remainder of the trip to rest up my lil leggies. I will be training with one of my good friends from work and we even decided we are going to have coordinating outfits :) YAY!

Tonight is the night I get to see my first "football" game (soccer as we call it). It is Fullham FC vs.  Newcastle United. I guess Newcastle is pretty good so I am excited to experience this cultural activity that plays such a huge part in London culture. I will try to get as many pictures as I can!  (These were inserted after the post!)

Then tomorrow night my flatmates and I depart for MILAN!!! We will be there until Sunday night so I won't be updating this until then...I am so excited and should have lots to tell you about when I get back...until then, GO PACK GO!!!!

Happy Weekend,
